Wow, I just watched a video on AffiliateWatcher.com. It is part of a post called 5 Lessons a Cape Buffalo Calf Can teach you about Affiliate Marketing. If you are interested in Affiliate marketing at all or even if you just enjoy a good wildlife drama (action) then have a look at the post.
I never thought that as a South African learning these techniques from an American, I never thought that I would be learning something by example from my own country.

Wow I cant believe it, but before I mention it let me just discuss a another point.
I noticed that Scribefire puts links to itself on all my posts, so I will probably not use that very often, unless I find some really cool tips on the Thirty day challenge to get rid of the link. It’s sad really because it saves a few minutes of having to log into your blog and hitting the post button.
Camera toss
Now that you are intrigued and wanting to know what I really can’t believe, I will let you in on it. I was reading a post over at Strobist and saw that a guy named Mike Larso, who specialises in wedding photography, has a move he calls the camera toss. Essentially what he does is stand in the middle of a circle of guests, and throw his camera up into the air while it is in continuous shooting mode. The shots look really great but I would be petrified of trying it with my camera.
That’s it for tonight, time to get some rest.

Well I have been calling myself a recovering Introvert for quite a while now and this week I experienced a sort of a milestone in that recovery. I started feeling a little unwell on about Tuesday and through Wednesday I felt it getting worse. I spent some time with some friends on Sunday and one of them had been diagnosed with bronchitis so I was pretty sure I had picked that up.
So Thursday I took myself off to the doctor in the morning as I felt a sort of gurgling in my lungs, he said it was definitely the start of bronchitis. Well Friday I decided, as I was coughing my lungs out, it was best not to go to work. So I sent my boss an sms, cancelled my lunch appointment with the pastor and emailed the AWANA commander that I wasn’t going to make it for AWANA.
Now normally I would thrive in that situation. As an introvert I live to spend time alone and even though I was sick, I would feel great being alone. Friday though, I was bored out of my skull. I missed talking to people at work, missed the kids at AWANA. I horribly missed my interaction with people.
Definitely a milestone as a recovering introvert if you ask me
Scribefire
Today I am trying out a firefox extension called Scribefire. It allows me to hit a button directly in my browser and post to my blog in a real short amount of time. I learned about this extension and a few more really useful extensions on this year’s Thirty Day Challenge.
I will see how it works over the next few days and maybe do a review of it later.

Something for the parents
Well maybe not so much bribery but I found an interesting site about ideas to help bring up kids. Now I don’t have any children (I am an introvert after all
) but I just love this site. Before when people had problems with their children they would go to their parents or maybe chat about it at the local womens social gathering, but now using the internet you can glean great tips from hundreds even thousands of parents. My philisophy has always been, if you have a problem, somebody in the world has had the same problem an documented the answer on the internet. Take this post for example TiVo the kids to bed early on New Year’s Eve, its a really great tip and some other parents have given their ideas as well (some of which involve a little less corruption which is a good thing
)
So if you are a parent then a great idea would be to subscribe to this site for ideas.
Grocery Shopping
Talking about parenting and stuff, have you guys tried the new Amazon Grocery? It looks really good. Unfortunately they don’t deliver to South Africa
but you American based readers should find it really usefull.
Magnetism
Have you guys heard of the Polarity Game
? I have ordered my copy of the game , its looks really fun, in a geeky scientific kinda way. but then I am a geeky scientific kinda recovering introvert. Get Your copy, its called The Polarity Game
. I will post a full review once I have recieved it from the States.

I came across Ms. Danielle who is giving away a 30GB Microsoft Zune that she won from John Chow.
Visit Ms. Danielle’s new blog site — she talks about everything from online marketing to golf!
It would be really cool to win as I have never seen a Zune in South Africa and it would be an awesome toy to have
I will even make it easy for her to ship it to me by giving her my US shipping address. Come on Ms. Danielle, that means I will pay my own shipping to South Africa.

Well it happened, I got into a situation where I don’t have anything to write about. Then I remembered thaat I had marked a couple of posts for comment in Google Reader.
So today I am going to talk about one of the sites I frequently read called The Bespeckled SEO
One of the latest posts actually requested a review and the owner would give $2. However I decided to do a quick review without requesting the $2 (although I would certainly not say no to it if you still have any spots open David
)
Basically the posts coming through the above blog talk about various topics but spend alot of time talking Search Engine optimisation. I recommend reading a few posts and see if you like it. The site shows some really interesting topics and I really think it’s great.
I recommend signing up at Google Reader so that you can subscribe to any blogs you like and get notified immedialtly when new posts are available.
