Well the weekend is nigh and I think I will have to organise an upgrade on my Wordpress site. My version is a little behind. It is gonna take a little bit of work but should be finished by Saturday afternoon. I will try get Photohunters done by Friday night and if my site goes down for a couple of hours on Saturday you guys will know why
I have also spent a few hours getting a link cloaker installed on my site. I will write an article on how it works during the weekend so anyone who wants to set it up can simply follow my instructions. It took me 3 Hours to setup but if you have proper instruction it should take you about 10 minutes
What it does is cloak your links until the visitor has actually clicked on the link. So as an example I could send you to http://www.streetcrew.co.za but I would rather send you to http://www.jmrpub.com/recommends/streetcrew.
There are a few things you could actually do with this, one is stopping people replacing your affiliate details with their own and you could also use this in your campaigns to track the clicks for that link.
I am JMR and this is My Little Corner on JMRPub.com

Next Weeks Theme: Cooked/ing

Here we go, day two and I am writing another post. I will try to keep it up and not get bored with the blog. I was reading something or even listening to someone talk and the author (or speaker) was saying how archeologists 1000 years from now will be going crazy over the wealth of information about todays culture which has been captured in blogs. An archeologist today has very limited information regarding long ago cultures. I mean think about it, imagine if Jesus’ twelve disciples had blogs, in fact imagine if old joe smith who once listened to Jesus’ parable of the sower had a blog. There would be no problem with trying to interpret Jesus’ words or trying to figure out what the people were thinking about when Jesus was speaking. We could just read their blogs.
Today’s big events will not only be stored but a wealth of comments surrounding that big event will be available for archeologists to get many view points on the big event.
Well I am waffling on so lets change the subject. Today has had no major cool things happen to me, I went to work then came home and started chatting on gtalk to a friend. I have found a meme for Saturday. It’s called Photo Hunters. This is going to be interesting, this weeks theme is ‘Water’ so Saturday I will be posting a water photo that I took in the UK in 2005. I am not the best photographer but I sometimes take strange photos which I think are pretty cool. So you wanna see the photo? Come back Saturday when I post.
I mentioned Ice skating yesterday. Well I have been trying to ice skate. I have never done it before and it is extremely difficult. But true to South African nature, there are a whole bunch of people who want to see you do it right, so if you are one of those good samaritans who helped me start learning, I owe you some thanks.
I have been twice now, the first time I clung to the side like I was attached. The second time one guy was showing me how to move on the ice and I practiced with one foot on the ice and the other pushing at an angle (Something like this |/ ) and never once held onto the side. So although not a lot of progress, it feels like huge progress for me.
If you have never been ice skating before then I recommend grabbing a friend and going to learn, it’s a whole bunch of fun. If you want some links to read up on ice skating pop me a comment (thanks tnchick) and I will add them here.
Well it’s that time of the night again, so I will start thinking of what to write for tomorrow.
