Tracking your every move

Posted in General, ThirtyDayChallenge

I bought myself a bluetooth GPS last week so I can connect it to my phone. The thing is really awesome, it picks up the satellites really fast and can connect to 32 satellites at a time. I have only ever had about 13 so far but that is in my car with a heat shielding on the windscreen which could weaken the signal.

I have just installed a software called GPSGate on my phone which allows me to upload my co-ordinates to a website and track where I have been driving. If you have a free GPS gate account and would like to see some of my driving routes, drop me a line with your account and I will add you to my buddies list.

Thirty Day Challenge
The Thirty day challenge is off to a running start, but unfortunately I was left behind with Bronchitis so I have a bit of catching up to do. I have started my catch-up this evening and am hoping to get caught up very soon.

If you haven’t joined yet then you are missing out on the training event of 2007. So pop on over and register and get started on the training. We are only 6 days in and it will be much more difficult to catch-up later.

Well that’s me for tonight, I am off to bed

Recovering introvert progress….

Posted in General, Life, Links, Recovering Introvert, ThirtyDayChallenge

Well I have been calling myself a recovering Introvert for quite a while now and this week I experienced a sort of a milestone in that recovery. I started feeling a little unwell on about Tuesday and through Wednesday I felt it getting worse. I spent some time with some friends on Sunday and one of them had been diagnosed with bronchitis so I was pretty sure I had picked that up.

So Thursday I took myself off to the doctor in the morning as I felt a sort of gurgling in my lungs, he said it was definitely the start of bronchitis. Well Friday I decided, as I was coughing my lungs out, it was best not to go to work. So I sent my boss an sms, cancelled my lunch appointment with the pastor and emailed the AWANA commander that I wasn’t going to make it for AWANA.

Now normally I would thrive in that situation. As an introvert I live to spend time alone and even though I was sick, I would feel great being alone. Friday though, I was bored out of my skull. I missed talking to people at work, missed the kids at AWANA. I horribly missed my interaction with people.

Definitely a milestone as a recovering introvert if you ask me :-)

Scribefire
Today I am trying out a firefox extension called Scribefire. It allows me to hit a button directly in my browser and post to my blog in a real short amount of time. I learned about this extension and a few more really useful extensions on this year’s Thirty Day Challenge.
I will see how it works over the next few days and maybe do a review of it later.

The challenge is on

Posted in Competitions, General, ThirtyDayChallenge

I haven’t had a chance to tell you guys about the latest challenge on the internet at the moment. Its called the Thirty day challenge and you can get to it by clicking here.

It has been live for two days now and the pre-event stuff has been awesome, even though I am behind on setting up the stuff.

It’s a pity that this is this first time this week that I can sit and relax thinking about today’s post, but I am not feeling too well so decided to go to bed early.
